Replacement of plastic material Polestar interior with linen material
Polestar has cooperated with Swiss Bcomp company to replace a large number of plastic panels in the previous car with natural material linen and replace the seats with recycled plastic, which is further sustainable. According to Polestar, flax plants can be used not only as food materials but also as clothing fabrics. The choice of linen material is because the material is 50% lighter and stronger than traditional plastic materials. Polestar said that this method can reduce the amount of plastic used in the car by 80%.
